when you do incline, your shoulders are more involved.(IMO) Whenever I do inclines presses either db or bb my shoulders are screaming at me.
If at first you don't succeed, take 5 lbs. off and try again.

For me, the incline takes a lot of stress off my rotator cuffs and lets me bench with less pain. A good thing.

For the chest, it doesn't matter. It will affect the degree to which your shoulders and triceps are involved, but that's it.

Right, incline will involve the "shoulder flexors" more.

Elbows tucked will increase this effect.

I am all about the flat bench. The only time I will go to incline or decline bench is if I have hit an extremely large pleatu and nothing is going to budge. But even then I only use it to get out of the routine, and as soon as I feel confident, it's back to the flat bench all the way!
Second place is just a generic term your mom created to make you not feel bad about losing, because second place is actually first loser!

I like inclines with no more than 30 grades, work great the pecs and not the shoulders. But flats, rules.
