That press would have gotten a red light from me.

    Impressive strength, regardless.

Well, you can hear the head judge say press (I think), so I probably wouldn't be a good judge in that federation... the bar didn't stop moving on his chest (the requirement to get the 'press' command), and the spotter who gave him the hand off was touching the bar as it decended.

Of course, I'm not a PLing judge, and I don't bench 700, so what do I know?

    The guy is freaky strong.

    WOW!
here is a question i always wanted to ask...is it true that shorter guys who have shorter arms, have a shorter ROM, therefore usually can bench more?

    Typically, yes.

That doesn't mean someone with a different build can't be an excellent bench presser.

Look at his feet. He has the tops of his toes on the floor, not the soles. I would've thought he could get more power by putting his feet flat on the floor.

Very impressive. Look at how wide his grip is on the bar! Actually, as ROMs go, I think he has one of the larger one's I have seen with the big benchers. I would still like to see what he could do raw. Nevertheless, very impressive!

Reportedly, he is not wearing a bench shirt. There is also a vid of him on a previous attempt with 650 or so without any tshirt, just the singlet.

    I can't tell.

Range of Motion (ROM) = how far you move the weight. If you are a thick guy with short arms, your ROM will be shorter than someone who is thin and has long arms. If one's ROM is short, it requires less work to move the same weight through a "full" ROM, relative to someone whose ROM is long.
