Hey everyone, its good to be back! I've been gone on vacation and at some technical meetings now for about 3-4 weeks and haven't really been able to post. Went to canada to canoe/portage/fish across the great Quetico park in Ontario and then went to bozeman montana for a technical conference that was followed by 5 days hiking/fishing/camping in yellowstone park with heavy backpacks. Certainly weight lifting and my general improvements to my physical state greatly increased my ability to enjoy the trips. Covered 60+ miles in the canoe and then 25 miles of hiking. Ate 3000-4000 cals per day of beef jerkey, walnuts, peanuts and some dried fruit. It was truely a wonderful experience. Of couse i had to abandon my diet during the conference as we were eating college dorm food (YUK!) but my camping diet kicked ass!
Looking foward to posting a lot more, some more serious dieting, and lifting more and heavier weight!
