The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Are biceps important to work?

Since biceps are a much more simple muscle than most, should they get worked as much as other muscles? My biceps are definetely my most lagging muscle but that is because I don't work them. They are not small, but they are not as big or strong as I would think they should be relative to my other lifts.

    ^- That's a ramble...
Biceps get worked in other lifts, just like forearms, which is why i have never really worked them. They dont's have a "day", every few weeks, if i feel like it, I will just do a few sets of curls.

I really am not looking for bigger biceps, I just dont want to be disproportunate when I, hopefully, get bigger.

Is it bad to do this or should I have a "day" when I work biceps?
hmmmmmmm... will i ever be big enough?

I'd personally add a day in for biceps, but that's just me. I'd want proportionality, but then I've never not worked biceps.

but i also do believe that biceps are a smaller muscle and does get worked out with other movements, especially with back. But, you shouldn't negelect them.

Once in a great while I will do direct biceps work. Not very often though.

Bicep curls are overrated. You time in the gym would be better spent on other exercises. Definitely don't make a separate day. You can do some curls at the end of a workout every 1-2 weeks if you feel they are lagging.

I do maybe 2 sets at the end of my back workout and that's it. They get worked during the other compound movements. No need to overtrain them.

I used to never do them, but I fitted them in cause I needed to work out the fore arm.
Curls help the forearm then I do dumb bell curls for the forearm and it yields good results so far.
    Train.

If you want peaks you need to work them. If you don't care how it looks I guess don't

I do biceps on the same day as back.. I find that I don't have to do too many sets though to keep everything in proportion..
    Let me get this straight...
You get play from the girl of your dreams
PR Shoulder Press using the 3 digit dumbells
Hit up some fun with the guys
    Then get more play
(all in one afternoon/evening I might add.. S)
You are a success my friend . Share your secrets. (Crippy)

As for the weight gain, that too shouldn't be a problem, just tell them your leaning out. Then flex your bi and tell them to ****ing get lost.

you can't force your bicep to peak unless it's in your genes. And again, a load of direct bicep work is not needed if you're already doing heavy chins, db rows, bb rows, etc. i mean, sure, you can do direct work, I still do a couple sets, but it's not the be all end all for biceps
