    In the Beginning

Did you count your macros and calories or just try to basically double your intake etc?

When I was young and struggling to gain weight I had to literally force feed myself.

When I was stupid I just ate as much as I could and put on a ton of weight with lots of fat, now I track pretty carefully (went on vacation for a week and didn't bother, won't lose sleep over going out to eat and not being able to track perfectly, etc) and I see much better gains. Even if you struggle to gain weight you should track so you know if you need to eat more, less, or the same.

I guess the real question is why do you ask? What are you trying to do with your physique at this time?

It's quite a while ago now but I think I gained about 10-15 lbs before what I was eating became my new maintenance level and I had to add even more.

Yep, I remember when I was 18 or so I was stuck at 180 lbs. I basically started force-feeding myself and was only then quickly able to get to 200 lbs while adding very little fat. Your age and metabolism have a lot to do with it as teens will often need to resort to such tactics just to get in enough cals to add lean muscle mass.

Im a guy who finds it hard to gain. Im naturally short and small physique. I want to just get big like bane. Definition will come later for me.
I struggle to eat the types of food that will help me gain weight and end up eating chocolate or cakes. Im short of ideas.

Generally i have fruit and fibre cereal for breakfast. A jacket potato with cheese and baked beans for lunch and dinner ill usually have some sort of meat with veg and maybe some mash.
When i get hungry i end up supplementing on treats like cake bars.

As i say im short of cheap quick ideas

Make sure you are eating enough protein and once that is accomplished don't worry so much about the rest of your diet as long as you eat enough. I mean, try to eat some healthy foods but don't be afraid to throw some ice cream in your protein shake or whatever you need to do.
