    Creatine pre and post?

Right now I'm taking creatine pre-workout. However, a gym rat said that taking it pre and post would help with recovery. I've yet to see any data (I just got back from the gym) but wondered if anyone on here does this?

Creatine is a performance increasing supplements. More atp, more reps, more muscle etc.
I don't see how it would help woth recovery. I honestly don't think it matters pre or post. Its a blood level thing. It just needs to be taken daily and and at least 5 g per day for a long time. I take results from at large post workout due to the gycogen spike it gives and the refueling for the next workout. It puts the creatine in the muscles faster.

I would just make sure to get a sufficient amount, you may want to take it post-workout since that is typically when people ingest a higher amount of simple carbohydrates (which would increase uptake). Post workout could also be favorable because creatine can cause stomach discomfort for some people which may hinder your training.

As Scott mentioned the most important thing is just to take it consistently, and 3-5g/day is a standard maintenance dose.
