What's everyone using for block pull heights?

I'm thinking about going back to conventional for this meet and I am playing around with going back to block pulls. In the past I used 5 inches. What's everyone else using. Higher our lower?

    I'll pull from a 4" or 6" block.

For strongman the elevated deadlifts are usually either 15" or 18" so when I have done them it has usually been either a 6" or 9" block to reach the desired bar height. For the powerlifters who I follow it seems that 4" is the most common height for sumo deadlifters, and then 4-6" for conventional.

Tom, do you see any correlation between the higher 15-18 inch block pulls and your pull from the ground? I am thinking about trying some higher block pulls just for fun but I also want then to help my pull.in a meet as well.

I usually use 2-2.5" blocks. I don't much benefit with anything beyond that for the block pulls.

Heavy front squats seem to help my pull from the floor (starting position) and so as long as I am doing them I believe that the rack pulls / block pulls are beneficial. My best deadlifts have come at times when I was using a lot of deadlift and squat variations in my training and not necessarily hammering standard deadlifts week in and week out; although everyone responds differently.

I decided to hit some high block pulls. I forgot to measure the blocks but it was a lot higher then the 5 inch blocks I use. I worked up to 855 and it was heavy. Not sure how practical they are but it was fun to pick up something heavy.
