I am now going on day #6 w/out lifting. I have figured out why my mood has been jacked up, because I was getting sick. This is really upsetting because I have been making some good gains but for some reason I have lost bout 8lbs. When I get over my sickness do ya'll think I will be back in the gym ready to go back at it hard & heavy like I have been? Has anyone else gotten sick & had to take quite a bit of time off from the gym?
Time off is good, but you need to keep eating. You won't lose 8lbs from not working out. I'm sure a bit of what you lost is just glycogen+water, so it's not so bad.

I was feeling beat up so I took off last week. Turns out I was getting sick too and was down for a couple of days due to the bug. Went back to the gym this past Monday stronger than ever. Broken a PR on bench, 265x8.
If at first you don't succeed, take 5 lbs. off and try again.
