    carbs

    im trying to bulk and i lift 3 times a week, and i eat approx 2700 calories a day i weigh 150, yet i cant gain a lick, i lift weights and lay around all day, should i still up my carbs even tho i dont do anything for that energy to go towards i follow a 40/40/20 ratio...

    2700 a day and not gaining, my diagnosis not eating enough

    if your not gaining dont worry so much about the carbs just make sure you are getting enough cals period.

    Gradually up then until your gaining 1-2lbs per week, at the moment it sounds like your maintaining. Carbs aint that bad man up them some more its easier than eating the same in protein, i.e. have some more oatmeal, whole-wheat bread/pasta etc...

    I would recommend upping the fat a little and like Big Ron said just eat. If you are not gaining weight you are not eating enough. I would go with about 3000 kcals per day (20xbw) and see how that goes. What does your diet look like on an average day?

    I would stay away from pure sugars in general, but yeah, eat more.
    Now in pain, only working out the walking sticks.
