I work out every other day, and on occasion do cardio in between. I noticed my left shoulder is sore, not painfully sore, but just aching?
Today I am supposed to be doing my back (deadlifts, bb rows, t-bar, cable rows)
Should I take a break?
I kinda don't want to since I've been in the groove for a while and haven't missed a workout for a while. I am afraid I'll get lazy.
If you workout every other day (same body parts), then you might be overtraining. The shoulder soreness could be an indication of that. I'd say if overtraining is the case, then by all means take a break. One other thing, stretch some. That will help.Originally posted by geeky

I don't train same body parts every other day, I do chest/triceps/front&middelts
But maybe cause I basically put strain on my shoulders every time I work out. I might take a break for two days...
Don't worry about losing your groove. Taking a 2 day break will do wonders. If you get really paranoid about getting lazy, then do active rest. Do something outdoors or just do some cardio. I am the same way. The gym is like a drug for me now. If I'm gone too long I suffer withdrawal.
def take a break, it will not hurt at all, it will help.. take some time to rest and heal..

I've decided to skip the workout until tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be gone by tomorrow, if not I'll just do cardio and wait another day.
