    Bulking to Cutting

    I understand that when someone is Cutting after a Bulking session, he/she should not cut down his calories too quickly by a huge amount. So please help me see whether will I follow this 'mistake'

    Before bulking I'm at 155lbs, and my goal is to pack on 10 kg, and reach about 176 lbs. Therefore my daily calories intake is AT LEAST 3000, with 2800 at minimum when Bulking.

    After reaching 176 lbs, I will be slashing off around 5 kg (10-12) lbs of ugly BF, and I'll be consuming around 2200-2300 calories everyday when Cutting. Will that be too little calories? Not to mention I'll be doing cardio 3 times a week. So should I increase my calories intake when Cutting? If I should, can you please give me a good amount? Thanks.

    I would cut cals slowly at first like you said, and not perform any cardio. See how much weight you lose and then add in cardio if you want. I wouldn't recommend cutting calories and adding in cardio all at once. Would probably cause some muscle loss. Best thing is to make small changes and see how your body reacts, and only change one thing at a time. The cutting calorie total looks about right assuming 12*bw for calorie total while cutting.

    I agree with bradley. If you don't mind cardio, you could just keep your calories the same as on your bulk because you will be burning extra ones off. If this isn't getting you the desired results then slowly drop off 100 cals or so a week. There's nothing worse than losing the muscle you worked so hard to build in the first place.

    Thanks...in this case I'll perform cardio first 3-4 times a week beginning with an empty stomach while stilling consuming the same amount of calories during bulking. Maybe after a few weeks I'll start to lower down my carbs and decrease the calories bit by bit. Get it now

    Empty stomach cardio is highly catabolic.

    I would prefer HIIT myself.

    I think starting out with the cardio program I wouldn't start out on an empty stomach. See what kind of results you get by just adding in cardio and not changing anything else. Althought there are many opinions on the time and intensity that cardio should be performed.
