Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Everybody's stretching routines

I was curious as to how everybody impliments stretching into their overall workout plan.

    How long? How often? When?

I usually just do a half-ass job of stretching the target muscle groups immediately before training, but I am considering doing a more overall stretching routine at night. I feel that a lack of flexibility in my hams is affecting my deadlift and squats.

Let us know your approach to stretching!

"Test all things; hold fast what is good.": 1 Thessalonians 5:21

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

I dont really have a stretch incorporated in my workout routine but I have thought about doing them at other times ( not during my workout ) to try and get some more overall flexibility in me as im not happy with how it is at the moment.

Im very inflexible even though I stretch all the time in soccer, wrestling, and baseball. If I don't stretch after my workouts, espicially legs, the soreness last a lot longer and I wouldn't be able to squat as low as I can. I know that.

I heard stretching after you work a muscle is the best time to do it.

Ditto on the stretching afterwards bit.
On leg day I cycle for ten minutes, stretch for a few more...then go on to the routine. Afterwards I stretch for about ten minutes. I do this because of old injuries though.
