The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Personal Fitness Trainer

Of all the different organizations available to be certified as a personal fitness trainer, which is most respected? I have looked at NFPT, ISSA, NGA, and PFIT just to name a few.

I am considering the certification but did not want to plunk down the cash without first getting the advice of the group.

    Thanks!

Typically NSCA, although of late I've seen some stuff out of that org that is a bit dogmatic.

The *best* certification is a degree in physiology, not something you get after passing a multiple choice exam.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei

I am currently studying for the NSCA-CPT exam (I have a college degree, so I could go for the CSCS, but I do not plan, at least for the forseeable future, to work with already fit individuals in a team setting. From what I have read, heard and even experienced to a degree, it is one of the top two certs. The other being ACSM.

Hey Paul, I'm just curious, do you have examples of what you've seen?

    Thanks
