Watch it all the time. Got any favorites you always root for? Mine are svend and magnus S. A new guy that has caught my eye though, is Jesse Marunde. THis guy is gonna be unstoppable since he is only 23 right now.

    Hey Hercule,

I like Svend and Magnus as well. It would be good to see magnus win because alot of people have rid him off as being no good anymore. The final will be good to watch. I hope Magnus does well, hopefully finish in the top 3 anyway. I like the Scotish guy, can't remember his name but he's good, very strong and should be a good contender in the final. For someone who is only 14, your pretty darn strong. Your measurements are good. You got any plans to be a strongman competitor?

I'd love to train the way they do. If anyone here knows a good training regime that i could follow in the gym to train kinda like a strongman, that would be cool. One of my favourite strongman events is the Log Press. Thats a cool one. I could be wrong but i think it weighs 120kg which is like 260 pounds or something like that. And the record is 17 repetitions. thats some amount of weight. If i'm wrong, then someone correct me.

Not only the fact that they are lifting these weights, but the fact that the weight ain't exactly meant to be lift. Like those damn boulders they have to toss on towers. Those things don't have grips at all, and they sure ain't light.

Yer Hercule, thats the guy. The Judges son. Its only his first Worlds Strongest man comp so hes done well to get to the final.

I like magnus to Tryska. I'll expect him to make a good challenge to win the competition.

I like to watch those as well and my favorite is magnus. I'd love to be that strong, but there's a certain point that your body reaches that it says that's enough weight and it won't let you go any higher. I never found out what my max's were, I only concentrated on what I was working out with.

Yep caught it only a couple of times here in Australia, and It is a bloody ripper. Another good thing from the states I like to watch now and then is the UFC.

Why dont those strongmen go in the UFC??

Saw the final last night, pretty impressive showing from Marius though his weakness seems to be in the squat and dead.

Condolences to Jonny Perry's family and friends on his recent passing also

Westy there is a guy that is built like a strongman that fights in Pride FC. Pride is a lot like the UFC except they fight in a ring and there are less rules. Anyway the guys name is Bob Sapp and hes 6'3" 350lbs of muscle. You can see some pics of him here and here. The guy is a monster.

The reason why its so rare to see a guy this big fighting in UFC or Pride is because their stamina is horrible. They are dangerous for about 3 minutes...then they are like a fish out of water.
