    Excess calories make you fat.

Lower ab exercises won't reduce fat, you can't spot reduce. If you want to lower fat in an area, you have to lose fat all over. In other words, diet.

A dozen bannas a day? holy sh*t. Maybe to much carbs and sugar. Sure fruits good for energy but thats a bit much in my opinion.
Like everyone else said you have to lose fat all over.

First thing is get your diet in order. Start by decreasing banana intake. What does your daily diet look like?

loverboy : i have the same problem , too much fat on the lower tummy , tough already lost some , gone from 27% to 22% now , thats quite a bit

Get a good cutting diet and do 4-5 time cardio a week for like 30mins and it will come off slowly , you have to have patience with it

are you a monkey? seriously - a dozen bananas a day?!?

i always urge people who aren't quite ready to make a serious dieting effort to just cut out one or two unnecessary things in their daily life: like soda, fruit juices, fruit], fast food, etc. cut out 11 bananas and continue eating the same way you do and i virtually guarantee you will start to see some wt loss.

more ideally, however, is to really get a handle on your diet and redistribute your calories to better carb sources, protein, and good fats. do a search here for TONS of threads on dieting.

It's posts like these that really make me wish Freud was live today...

Anyways, too many calories, regardless of where they come from, can be adding fat. Fruit is good with moderation.

One site I came across lists bananas (flesh only) as having 15.7 grams of sugar. You're effectively eating 188.4 grams of sugar just from the bananas. Doh! http://www.weightlossforall.com/carb...tes-banana.htm

Why on earth would you stop eating fruit? There's nothing wrong with eating whole fruit. You shouldn't drink juice, however.
