The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Poll: Whats your favorite exercise for each bodypart and why?

Whats your favorite exercise for each bodypart and why?

Biceps: Barbell Curl, cuz it always gives me a great pump and its easier to keep good form than standing dumbbell curls.

Triceps: Rope-Cable pull down. Lets me extend my arms all the way out when pulling the cable down. Love it.

Chest: Dumbbell Flat Bench, cuz its more challenging than barbell but on the other hand I can go all out tilli fatigue even without a spotter.

Back: I absolutely LOVE dumbbell rows. Always gives a great pump and also Chin-ups!

Shoulders: I like using cables the most becuase the stress is the same all the way up doing shoulders, while lateral raises at the end (if youre going for fatigue)you can hardly get them all the way up.

Legs: SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! Such an uncomfortable exercise yet I love it.

Favorite bodypart to train: Biceps.. The bodypart that gives me hte best pump these days.

Biceps: preacher curls, either DB or BB. It really isolates the bi's and there in no way to use momentum for help

Tri's: Dips. Dips by far hit my tri's the hardest, they give me lots of strength.
Chest: DB press, either flat or incline. I recently realized that BB press has been very hard on my shoulders.
    Back: Deads, Chin-ups, BB rows
Delts: Front delts, SM military press in front of head, I simply love it!
Mid Delts, Lateral raises of course
Rear Delts, Bent over Lateral raises
    Traps: BB shrugs
    Legs: Squats
Favourite body part: the one I am working out at the time, I love working out every body part, no favourites....

    *ignores deadlift comment*

My favourite exercise in the whole world would have to be high rep dumbell kickbacks.

I don''t think they do deads in Australia because its below the eqator and the weight falls off the bar.

    Pete,
Do you do your kickbacks with the pink dumbells too?

    Cortisol is the enemy.

I believe the most common injuries are shoulder injuries. Bench press, shoulder injuries, bench press, shoulder injures...thought provoking aint it?

Absolutely! The pink ones for some reason really get me psyched about doing kickbacks, and besides, it's just the right weight to do those 15-20 rep sets that are most critical if you want to tone.

Biceps: Preacher curl. There's no chance of throwing the back into it, and it's just damn fun to die on.

Triceps: Skull crushers. Pulldowns to finish them off.

Chest: Decline bench or DB press.

Back: Wide-grip chins for results, db row for killing it off. On and definitely deadlifts if we're talking lower back.

Shoulders: Lateral raise or overhead press.

    Legs: Squats. Without a doubt.
