Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    New Gym Crazy Weights

Hi I started at a newer better bigger gym today and all the weights looked new and fresh and felt lighter.

I lifted twice as much for my first set than i ever have on bench press, i put up 7 reps + 1 assisted of 215lbs, which is awesome considering my 1rm is dwindling around the 240lbs mark.

I thought that maybe the gyms weights were all out but apparently they are not so it was something to do with the excitement of a new environment or maybe proving my worth to the other crazy mofos in their liftin the iron.

    Just sharing.

not to rain on your parade, but a possibility is that the 'olympic' bars are only 35lbs in the new gym

I know at my gym there is a mix fo 35lb and 45lb bars and I thought my bench/squat/dead was 10lbs higher than it actually was when I first got in there...

Also, thew new grip-whatever type weights with the cut-outs to hold them easier all look about one size bigger than standard. IE: 25 looks like a 35 ..35 looks like a 45 ...just in case you didn't pay much attention when you racked your weight.
