The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Ripped Fuel and Cannibal Corpse here lately.

I really don't have to try and keep it high because it stays there. Once I get to the gym its all business.

I agree with HomeYield. I can wake up some days and feel like I've been hit by a truck. But once my feet hit the floor of the gym and I get through my warmups I'm ready to go. It does get easier when you're on an ECA stack though but it's the mindset that's the key.

Personally I can't have music I like playing when I train because I end up getting distracted by thoughts like "oh man, here's comes the bitchin' guitar solo!!!". So I'm pretty glad that the gym where I train just dials in whatever commercial radio station they feel like and that there are no speakers in the room where the lifting platform is.

I agree. Even if I get to the gym still half-conscious, once I get warmed up and into my workout, I feel really good. Whenever that doesn't happen, I know that I'm starting to burn out physically or mentally and it's time to take a little break.

    epehedrine + caffiene + aspirin

ephedrine + caffiene is plenty tho; you can get pills for these separately at most supplement stores which are cheaper (usually) than buying a 'stack' that's premade

Hmm, I guess I should start looking into these ECA stacks. I never touched a single one because I thought they were a waste of money. But many here seem to use it, and I've read your journals and seen the pics, so who can argue with the results.

Me, I just use loud music. Slapping myself in the face is also optional. Seriously though, warming up is essential (I can't work out "cold"), and I carb up a little, and actually have a little pre-protein (just a little). Seems to help me.

Yeah I think caffeine is great before a work out, it gives me focus and concentration and a boost in my work out.

Give it a try during a week or two and decide for yourself whether its a good thing for you or not.

You take caffeine pills or where do you get the caffine from? Are the pills expensive?
