    Starting the deadlift

    how do most of you start your deads

    feet on the floor weight on the floor
    feet on floor weight on box
    feet on box weight on floor

    just curious

    EDIT: of course then there's rack pulls, with the bar on pins. So I guess 1, 2 or 3.

    I do number 1. Was thinking of doing some rack pulls when I plateau which hopefully won't happen for awhile.

    now say you do it feet on floor weight on floor every rep do you hit the ground again or bring it down to a certain point, and whats the benefit/gain of doing either of these

    I hit the ground again, and keep it there for a count or two. Refer to the "deadlift rep count" thread (it's called something like that anyway).
