The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

complex question for mods and experts

Ok, ive decided to throw away my 24 week out cutting plan of a 500 kcal deficit per day for 24 weeks to lose 1lb of bf per week to get a 5%bf for the show... instead i will keep bulking/maintenance for another 3 months. This is because the longer i stay in a deficit the more muscle i will lose. So instead i will have a deficit of 1000 kcals a day for 12 weeks to lose 2lb bf a week so i will be at about 5% at contest time (i am now 210lbs and about 15% bf). Assuming (need your help on this) that my maintenance is in the range of 3000 kcals (although i can bulk of 2500 because of my slow metabolism) then i should aim for around 2000kcals a day while cutting to lose 2lb per week or should it be 1500kcals (which seems real low)... does that sound right?

this is the cutting diet for 2000 kcals a day

    Cutting Diet 1

    1) 2 eggs, protein shake

    2) tuna

    3) chicken breast, whey gain

    4) 2 eggs whey gain

    5) chicken breast

    6) 2 eggs

    7) tuna, protein shake

    total cals: 2038
    protein: 256
    carbs: 116

and this is the diet for 1500 kcals a day

    1) 4 eggs, protein shake

    2) tuna, chicken breast

    3) whey gain

    4)2 eggs

    5) tuna, 2 eggs

    6) protein shake

    total cals: 1748
    protein: 212
    carbs: 60

Let's not assume, what exactly is your maintenance calorie level.

What are your carb sources? I don't see any carbs in either diet. Are they all coming from the shakes?
