    Fat Percentage - NHE

I have read that fat percentages on a keto should be at least 60%, and sometimes upwards of 75%. Now I realize that this isn't a Keto diet, but am wondering what my fat intake percentage should be compared to protein.

Well at a minimum of you should be getting 1g per lb of bw in protein and the max amount of carbs is recommended to be 60g per day. For a 200 lb individual it would be something like this:

    200g protein- 800 cals--33%
    60g carbs-240 cals--10%
    151g fat--1360cals--57%

    based on a 2400 cal diet (200*12)

I would think that most people performing the diet would have a higher protein intake than what I listed above. Faigin really doesn't give specific ratios. I would think the main thing is to keep your carbs below the specified limit and try to get most of your fat from healthy sources. The ratios are probably not as important.
