Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

On workout days, around 2000 calories. On off days, 4000 or so calories.

You're going to go up a whole 100 calories per day?!

I think you can go a head and bump it up by 250 - 300 and not have to worry about adding BF. Personally I'd jump it up by about 500 if I were not having any success gaining mass.

While I have not been gaining weight on the scale, I having been lifting heavier weights. This makes me wonder if I have been losing body fat while gaining muscle, or have been dehydrated while weighing myself (masking the true weight gain). It seems unlikely that I am losing body fat since my most recent skin caliper test was at under 5%. However, being dehydrated seems like a realistic possiblity since I only have weighed myself twice in the past two weeks.

My plan is to see how things go at 3300 calories for a while, and if I need to increase beyond that, then so be it. I do not want to be extremely large. My ideal weight would be about 170lb at 5% BF. I would rather gain muscle slowly than gain a good amount of fat along with the muscle.
