Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I try to keep my schedule straight, so I leave after doing my set for a particular day.

I'm usually pretty tired by the time I'm doing the last set I had planned, so stopping is not much of a problem.

So you don't wanna get big, do you?

    Yup.

I don't want to do anything but go eat after I've done what I planned.

I agree. Your routine should be such that you do not feel like doing anything immediately afterwards but drinking a protein shake and eating.

I plan everything that I'm gonna do and when I do it I'm done. If you are scientific about your programs any more or less could be detrimental to your development. Be careful, don't over train. IMO bbing is more about thinking and planning then lifting.

If you ain't tired by the time you get done, then you know you need to work harder next time.

PaulB, if you still have enough energy after 6-8 sets then I question if your doing enough intensity in your workout.

Granted this all depends on the amount of time you set aside for recovery time, I use 2 minutes at low volume (6-8sets) and 1 minute at higher volume (8-12 sets)
I recommend writing your routine on paper and sticking with it, no fudging around...

If you train hard enough, you won't find yourself looking to do more.

pretty much agree with everyone. Sometimes I'll throw an extra set in if I feel I didn't hjit it hard enough or did less reps then planned. But for the part I stay on schedule, and I am glad to be done.

i guess i suck then. my sets are of x8 then x6, and neither of them are till failure.. mainly because i feel like **** when i cant get the last rep up. lets say im doing a chest day, if i did nothing else but my routine for my chest/back day, id be done in about 20 minutes, 25 tops if im dickin around. i feel im pushing myself hard enough though, the more burn i feel the more push it gives me and i keep going. doing 9 sets of a chest exercise wears you guys out? maybe its because im a small fry and i dont put up heavy weights. who knows, mebbe im not giving it a 110% or dont now how yet. anyways, off to the gym :O
