Would you allow a body part to get bigger then the rest if you had good genetics? What I mean is if you biceps started growing faster then everything else, would you train less? I'd probably train more, definitely not less. I wouldn't care if you call me a curl jockey.
For the most part it just relates to have a nice "?"

I would just so long as it was my back or legs. Anything else and I wouldn't let it get out of control. Especially if it were my calves. I'd love to have popeye like calves. Calves bigger than my thighs, that'd be nice. That's not to say I'm going to stop training my thighs but damn it'd be nice if my calves would grow like that.
Ain't nothing but a calf-jockey thing though.
I'd let it happen if it was my biceps, but only to a point.

Yeah I would like to have some freaky calves. There is a point of where it is too much (like Greg Valentino) , but I would want something like my calves to be my best muscles.

Calves are just something on me that has always been a problem area so the bigger the better. Its all wishful thinking. While I'm dreaming, I'd like to have a pony too.

Age 23 Height 5'10 weight 210 2 years complete of serious lifting.
At 5'10" last Jan/02 I was 280 Lbs with a 44 waist.
Now as of Dec/02 I am 210 with a 34-36 waist. A year complete 70 pounds lost now lets get big .

Its funny I was thinking about calves when I started this. I am 5'6" with 16" calves, which I think is good for my size. I never really them trained consinstantly. I don't have a great way to train them at home. I think I got it figured out now. The last 2 weeks I've had sore calves, which is rare for me. Though not sure about how much I am gonna be able to add.
Also my legs have been growing the best of all for the last few months. Though I attribute that to not training them hard enough, and there just catching up. Probably plateau soon. If not I'd go for the Tom Platz look.
I agree with benchmonster too. Chick look more at the upper body. Big calves won't get you laid

No. I'm all about symmetry, so having one body part stick out harsh isn't pretty. I've seen people that have had huge arms for their body, or even worse, a huge lat spread (with absolutely nothing else.. tiny legs, no traps and a long neck) and they don't look right. No way I'd chose freakish big on any part of me unless the rest of me fit it.

I would like to be built like a h000ge mother ****** on 1/2 my body and the other half to be a skinny. Not small legs big upper body but rather one large side vertically. Have like my right hand with 21" and the left side like 11.5". That would be cool and is my life long dream... LOL

If at first you don't succeed, take 5 lbs. off and try again.
I definately do not lift to impress the ladies, but then, I am not a bodybuilder. I lift for records. However, when someone starts talking about gaining in a particular bodypart, rather than gaining on a certain lift, then I assume that person is trying to make themselves look better.
When I try to look better, it is usually to get more attention and therefore more poon from the opposite sex. I just figured that the same was true for the rest of the board as well.
And I understand about having a lagging bodypart and wanting it to be more impressive. My biceps suck. They always have and likely always will. I would not mind being a biceps freak, despite the fact that biceps will not add to any of my comp. lifts.
I am still going to stick to my original post tho, and say that a freakishly large root would be the best to have.
p.s. Although having a really muscular forehead is appealing too. Drives women wild.
