    Bulking/Abs

I have two questions for the wise ones. One, my boy believes that doing abs everyday will help them to grow. I tell him no, they are just like every other muscle and need rest after a tedious workout - am i right in saying that?

Next, the important question for the veterans. Does anyone have any tips to bulking success?>

you are right in saying that. And among the best things for bulking is lots of eating and lots of rest.

I would ask that in diet and nutrition. But when most people bulk they start with the amount of protein they need for their size (1 g per pound, plus or minus, depending on your beliefs about protein needs), and at least the minimum amount of EFA's, (again, depends on your views on EFA's and your size; I would go for 60-100 grams a day, myself) and then make the rest of their cals up in good carbs.
    You can't babysit this.

The abs and calves usually require less recovery time than larger muscle groups and many smaller muscle groups. The difference is not enough to warrant training abs every day for most people. Some people can probably get away with every day, if they do abs at low intensity and few sets; but every other day would likely be more effective. I think the most effective way to improve the appearance of your abs is to reduce your body fat.
