    Passed out

    i was training last week,when i felt a little dizzy(on monday i think).i was benching at the time so i stopped for abit.then.on wednesday,i was doing leg curls,when i just passed out,no dizzyness u no what cud of caused this?it really **** me up

    hi there,

    I advice you go to the dr asap aswel. It could of been a number of things.
    For instants not getting enough sleep night b4 your workout.
    Not drinking enough before during and after.
    Being too hot and i can go on..

    About 4 months ago i used to do squats at home and well after my first set of these i would take the weight off my shoulders and i was like all light headed. First day i ignored it because i thought it was because i was too hot. But the next day it happend again so i kinda sat down and thought well im not drinking enough and i hadnt had enough to eat to give me the energy to do what im doing. so now i drink before during and after (water or an energy drink) and im fine...

    Are you breathing properly while you lift. Holding your breath can cause you to pass out.

    happend to me a couple a times, I just drink water and continue training, and make sure I take my mineral and vitamine pills.

    How long do your workouts last? Maybe you're overworking yourself.

    I started to pass out once when working out, my fault then (holding breath), I'm lucky that I sort of fell against the dumbbell rack so I didn't fall over. But making sure that your breathing is right is imperative while working out, otherwise you could cause some serious damage to yourself. Imagine benching a heavy weight and you pass out, could be extremely dangerous so I would suggest finding the problem before you continue working out.
