The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

shoulders, once or twice a week?

Hello, i just wondered how often you all train your shoulders, once or twice a week? I`d really like to add some mass to mine, sometimes i do them twice a week , but some people say thats too much?

I would be ill-advised to try to explain it to you as I am new to it my self and would probably end up confusing the hell out of both of us. You can read up on it here though.HST I am just about to finish up with one cycle. When I start my next cycle I will probably start a journal and get some people to help me set mine up during my Strategic Deconditioning, as well as post my results with my last cycle.

Personally, I go with one...my shoulders get alot of work from chest and back day so once is good enough for me!

one is enough for me, shoulders are one of my muscle groupings that get that nice burning sensation after a heavy set, twice a week = I'd be on fire
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.

Usually three times and have had great results from 1 or two sets four times a week during some periods. I also use HST, by the way.

Once a week, hard and heavy, is adequate. They get worked on just about every upper body exercise and can easily be overworked.
    Just one guy's opinion.

    Zero to once.

I'd say delts would be the first group that direct work could be dropped from for most people. They get hit on chest day with pushes. Back day with pulls, plus everytime you pickup a dumbell or plate and carry it across the room. They're also probably one of the most commonly used muscles in day to day activity.

So if your going to do direct shoulder work, keep it at once per week.

    totally agree..

i try to do some shoulder presses on chest day..

and have found that my delts get rocked from heavy benching and inclines. I think that's enough. So i usually just do a few sets of lateral/front raises.
