Bench Press on Smith vs regular Bench Presses??

I do both but I usually do my bench on the smith. I see lots of other big dudes doing the same so is it a big difference?? Which is better?

Depends what you mean by "better." Generally speaking, I'd say that regular BB benches are better because they work a load of other fun stabilizer muscles and isn't as restricting as the smith.

been discussed before in detail and mainly got locked

I take it from your post your after more size than strenght? if so you can make good gains on the smith, though personally i do not like it as it does not move through my natural range of movement and hurts my hands.

IF you prefer the machines over free weights, I belive there are better machines for benching than the smith.

i dont really like the smith for benching. personally, to me, it feels akward to me bench stright up-then down in a fixed position becuase of the smith.

The Smith Machine has one purpose....Ballistic Bench Press. Even then, I think Jay Schroeder would disagree.

Thats because its supporting the weight through the ROM which makes it easier for u, since u dont have to work to keep it steady and aim it up...you just push like a mofo till it gets up!
    One the road to 180lbs...
