The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Push/Pull Meet Results 6/8/03

I went and did a push pull meet today with a bunch of my buddies from my gym. My lifting went as such...

    Weight 190

Bench: 275 (smoked!), 290 (got it), 300 (miss)

    Dead: 425 (smoked!), 460 (smoked), 505 ( OMG HUGE PR!! )

I got 3rd place in both events vs the 8 others in my age/weight class. I was originally going to pull 480 on deads, but 505 may have givin me 2nd place so i went for it and I'm glad I did (found the groove in the suit)!

Overall a 5lb PR in bench and a 50lb PR in dead!

One of the guys from my gym got some nice pics of me deadlifting. If he remembers to send me them I'll post them up!
Meet PR: 290lb bench press, 505lb dead lift @ 190lbs

    Current Training: Yoga and Weightlifting

    5'11'', Male, 175lbs, age 22

    Nice Work!
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
"You're wrong, and I have a completely irrelevant pubmed abstract that may or may not say so." - Belial
