The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Forgive me if I find all this hard to believe. You'd probably be the first trainee in the history of mankind to be able to simply add weight every week, or month for almost two straight years, and have continuous progress. Unless by gear people mean forklift, I don't see how this is possible. Starting in the 150s, already having trained in the past makes it more difficult for me to fathom. If you just started out, I could possibly see it over time, but to double or triple your lifts in under 2 years is somewhat difficult for me to understand. But then, so is the healthy menu at McDonalds, so who knows...

That equates to an 'aproximate' progressive gain of 6.3 pounds a week for 64 weeks.

Your bench press has gone from 175 to 365 in about 17 months. That's a 190 pound increase. Holy smokes! That's an 11 pound increase every month. Most, if not all trainees will not put this kind of poundage on their bench even if they're using drugs. And, I assume you did it without a suit on, just raw. Very impressive.

You have increased your squat from 165x5 to 455x2 in 11 months. That's a 290 pound increase which again equates to a 6.5 pound increase every week.

Your leg press has gone from 200x6 to 1080x6 in aproximately 12 months. That's a 880 pound increase with a weekly increase of 17 pounds per week.

My question to you is, what was your bodyweight when you first started this journal, and what is it now?

Tell me, what's your secret, because I'm jealous of you.

Well it seems the secret is out...we have found superman.

That is right, listen to BigNic because I'm too legit and can't quit - ...and it is not going to hurt anyone to go to the beginning of my journal and take a look throughout to find some things out (those who really care to know).

Whether anyone doubts the fact that I have never ever juiced and that I am able to get back on track after subpar efforts is beyond the scope of this journal.

I hope my journal is an inspiration to others, gradual progress is the key - that is a hard concept to grasp if you don't workout to begin with. And seeing is believing, get in the gym and see what people can actually do with or without the 'special supplements'.

And as always, I am truly grateful for the props and the enormous interest I get at times!!

Cocoa, this is not a hard question to answer. What was your weight when you first started this journal and what is it now? I do not need others telling me what they "think" your weight might be.

It's a really simple question, and I know the answer is does not take a rocket scientist to answer.

As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Whatever I put down is real...I am not detailing what I want to be able to do, I only display what I have actually done. Once again, it does not matter if certain individuals doubt my efforts all of which are sincere.

I have not had to resort to accelerated gains in strength simply because of the systematic approach taken over a considerable amount of time. As I have stated previously, take a look through my journal and see the entries for what they are pure and genuine.

I appreciate those who have frequented my journal but I do not find it necessary or appropriate for the people to come into my journal the past week (after being in existence for almost 2 years) and only to distort and mislead others concerning the work I have done on my own accord.

If ever I wish to be competitive and go for plenty of size and greater strength levels, there are means to those ends. Meantime and between time I do workout regularly and sharing the sessions are not a problem for me. If it is a problem reading my entries or believing in them, maybe it is not a good idea to even check things out over this way. Having said that, I wish to continue with my journal which I love dearly and believe it or not - This is the real deal!!

Thanks for those of you who have been supportive and encouraging toward me, I'm grateful to so many people here and you know who you are -
