The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

The Superbowl always has controversy and this one was no different, maybe even moreso than others but both teams were winners to even get to that point…the halftime entertainment was great but the biggest highlight for me was hearing the greatest singer in the world sing the national anthem, Aretha is the best!!

    February 6, 2006 - MONDAY

    LEGS

    supersets:
    HACK SQUATS
    360 x 8, 360 x 8, 360 x 8, 360 x 8, 360 x 8

    supersets:
    DONKEY CALF RAISES
    450 x 20, 450 x 20, 450 x 20
    CALF RAISES on leg press
    490 x 18, 490 x 18, 490 x 20

    supersets:
    LYING LEG CURLS
    65 x 8, 65 x 8, 65 x 8

    February 7, 2006 - TUESDAY

    CHEST & DELTS

    supersets:
    HS INCLINE PRESS
    90 x 20, 110 x 20, 140 x 15, 160 x 15, 180 x 15
    HS BEHIND THE NECK PRESS
    50 x 15, 60 x 18, 70 x 12, 90 x 12, 110 x 12

    supersets:
    SEATED CHEST PRESS
    100 x 15, 110 x 15, 120 x 12, 130 x 12, 140 x 12
    SHOULDER PRESS MACHINE
    60 x 15, 70 x 12, 80 x 10, 90 x 10, 100 x 10

    treadmill - 15 min.

Did supersets throughout with the back-to-back efforts and although different for me they were to good effect especially with the calves, they are feelin it...I never did like behind the neck presses, they don't suit my build.

Workout looks good coke, ive never done a superset in my life (unless your talking under the sheets lol)

The high reps on the chest must of given you a crazy pump, i think if i went that high id never make it home in the car.

Didnt see the superbowl had to work, usually watch it every yr Bet the atmosphere is crazy actually at the game, can only imagine!

Love the high volume Coke. You're a nut.

I have to agree with you that Aretha is the best, but I must disagree regarding her performance. I don't know what she was trying to do, but I was unimpressed.

Nice on trying something different, man. When are you going to try some odd lifts?

Oh, and I'm with you on the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Aretha laid it down. I don't think Aaron Neville liked being introduced as Aretha Franklin, though!

I copied the NFL Superbowl on tape, Aaron Neville and Dr. John were both introduced before the Queen of Soul (Aretha)…I appreciate the props concerning the supersets which were a nice change of pace for me - both different and intense. My sessions are indeed clockwork, what a fine analogy - and the beat goes on!!

I've been extremely fortunate not only in receiving support at WBB but also in seeing my friends and associates completely ignore those who periodically try to undermine my position or work against me here.

I am indeed the lucky one as I have had more replies from actual guests than has ever been seen in any other online journal - period. This may not be completely obvious at first sight because other people have replied in their own journals more than I several times over.

In many ways I have been encouraging, even nurturing in some cases, and on a couple of occasions I've been too zealous in simply saying hello...but I would much prefer to see others move on and go to the next level and grow rather than to see their efforts blocked or go unnoticed.

There is obviously tremendous mutual support here. Thankx to everyone for returning all the kind words to me tenfold along the way. Special Thankx for having my back as I have yours, The r-e-s-p-e-c-t is mutual!!
