The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Appreciate the thoughtfulness and concern, my nephew is still in recovery mode and is expected to go back to school soon. He happens to be a senior in high school, his team took the state last year with him being one of the key guys at the helm when they won the state last year, baseball champs. He has always been one mean lefty and is touted by high level colleges, so this is a bit of a setback but he seems to think he will bounce back in time.

Great work in here as usual. Never underestimate the healing power of YOUTH. If he's got youth and the kind of attitude he seems to have, then you might just have to get outta the way and let him fly right by..lol

My lifting style has changed in the past year, and the 'numbers' are really all over the place these days depending on where I take it. I still go heavy but there are times when I go so light it will be considered uncharacteristic in here, so I decided to just go do whatever I please each outing whether I'd lose some viewership or not, but it is what it is.

I needed to be less one dimensional in my approach and come from a more broader perspective. But I do agree, showing the actual weights in these journals are more appealing, to say the least...this makes me appreciate the ongoing support even more while off the beaten path.

Terry, i appreciate the changes. Dealing with similar strength fluctuations myself. Bodyweight and diet are evolving constantly.
But your strength was never something simply identified by a poundage. You handled incredible weights for a ton of volume, impressive regardless if you may use a few less plates on the bar.

still smashing it coke. There is more than one way to skin a cat and if volume is the route you choose to go down over intensity it makes no difference! You still train your ass off and thats all that counts! If anything it will be even better when you do list some weights and we can all see the increases since they've been abscent!
