    cardio and weightlifting on same day

    would it be a good idea to do cardio and lift on the same day
    for example i do cardio early in the morning and lift late afternoon
    start cardio at 6am and lift at 5pm

    I'd save cardio for off days.

    edit - bad wording, my fault :P

    If you can't work your way around to doing cardio. on off days(weather, work, limited amount of time, etc), then keep your cardio. and lifting(when on the same day) spaced out time wise. -like cardio in morning and lifting at night - and eat more to make up for the calories

    If you do have cardio on your weight lifting days, then do it seperately, for example, lift in the morning, and do cardio in the evening, or something like that. And be sure to eat a lot more if you plan on gaining muscle.

    i do hiit after my workouts. it works for me.

    HIIT would be much better on a non-weight training day.

    you are already increasing the RMR, test and gh output from the resistance training session so the HIIT is pretty much overkill.

    im trying to atleast run everyday to keep in shape because im going to boot camp next month i plan to do it 3 or 4 days a week

    after your workouts, your glycogen stores are depleted, something about catabolic response..blah blah..so you risk burning muscle by dong HIIT.

    I prefer to do cardio on non lifting days. If I feel I must do cardio on a lifting day I will try to do them at separate times (ie. cardio AM and lifting PM) If this is not an option and you feel you must do them together lift first and hit the cardio after.

    most of the time we where in class. if we weren't in class we would practice marching.

    if you have a good company you won't spend much time getting mashed. but if you have a lot of fuk ups in the company, you will be in the hurt locker...

    I was in a great company because our company comanders were the shiat !
