How many times a week to do HIIT?

My workout routine is usually 3 days on 1 day off. I guess I"ll be forced to do HIIT on a few workout days. How many days a week *should* I be doing HIIT? I'm guessing 3?

thanks loverboy (felt gay saying that LOL!)

anyway, to update. I tried HIIT on a bike today (stationary). I've done HIIT before (sprinting on my street). The bike kicks your a$$!! The feeling afterwards is the same as when I used to do HIIT sprinting. Anyone who doubts you can do HIIT on a bike, try it.
