muscle stiffness after i work out...

hey yo. after i work my upper body and my arms on the appropriate days that i do those muscles, i many times have a stiffness in both my arms around the bicep area about halfway through the routine. i continue to stretch my arms throughtout the workout session, but they are still really stiff. could this be my body saying too much weight? or maybe too much weight too fast?

Have you tried doing warm-up sets?

Is it like stiffness from a pump? Because I get that a lot. It usually goes away with time but during a workout you don't have time to waste. Just make sure to warm up and stretch before and after (and stretch out your arms during) your workout and it may decrease. I still get them though...

are you doing stuff on machines, or free weights? i'm a strong believer in free weights and think machines are always a no-no because they're going to limit your ROM to what they want, and doing so causes forces to be distributed incorrectly. such things lead to pain

if you're on machines, try free weights, see if the problem persists... otherwise try warmup sets i guess
