    Girlfriend wants to gain weight

    My girl decided she wants to gain weight. Right now she's around 5'7" at 96lbs. So i'm thinking i'd get her started on WBB Routine 1. Is this ok? Or should I have her do some other routine? The only problem i have with WBB Routine 1 is that she may not be able to do Squats with the barbell since it may be too heavy, what would be a good alternative to build her strength in this area?

    Also should I have her do the traditional bulk and cut senario?
    I'd apprieciate if some of the ladies pitch in and tell me what has worked for them.

    You could have her squat with no weight, use one of the curl bars, or use the 20 lb barbell that most gyms have

    WBB #1 should probably be fine, and she'll prolly do 45lb squats just fine... girls have strong legs

    just remember girls and guys are pretty much the same, there's no reason for her to do 10000 reps when she could be doing 8 just like you

    The first day in there throw 95 lbs on the squat bar, make her do it 20 times and she'll never ask to gain weight again, lol...

    unshift - Yea, i guess ill let her try the bar.. if she can't do it ill go with Goin_Big's idea.

    5'7" @ 96 is pretty puny! I wholeheartedly applaud your girlfriend's wishes. Girls looks way better with some LBM, yet they always diet it all away when they try to lose fat.

    I wish *my* girlfriend were more interested in lifting weights!

    Yea that's true Scott... right now her diet is really messed up.. im trying to get her to eat properly but damn its hard... soo much COMPLAINING... "ohh i can't eat so much"... "oh i feel sick" lol... hopefully in time she will adapt... *woo*

    Have her do dumbell squats until she can use the bar. Also, dumbell lunges will help build leg strength.

    just remember her recovery abilities are not the same as yours (lack of test ) so adjust her frequency/volume accordingly
