The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

The Saturday Night Live Vs. MadTV thread!

So in your opinion, which show is better?

I love SNL almost as much as I love squats(see sig :P), I admit that it isn't the same as the old SNL's, but it's pretty damn funny . I was watching a re-run on Saturday of the one where Matt Damon hosted, and he acted out the dance-off breakup between Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, it was hilarious...man I miss Will Farrell being on SNL, it definitely isn't the same without him.

Then on the other hand, there's MadTV, which is also warming a place into my heart . Stuart, Ms. Swan, and Bobby Lee playing those asian characters always crack me up .

Stuart's Mommy - "Now, Stuuuuaarrrttt...what does mommy say about kids who lie to their mommies?"
    Stuart *kicks* - "NooOoOOooo, I don't wanna..."
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.

I don't really like SNL because a lot of the skits are just so stupid and not funny.

I liked the old cast of Mad Tv with Phil LaMarr and Nicole Suillivan and Will Sasso etc. I'm not that fond of their new cast.

Will Sasso, Phil Lamarr and that other dude, al feris, al peris..ah cant remember the name, god damn they were funny.

But SNL is the funniest show on earth, for how long, two decades or something.

Imagine this. Your a young norwegian boy, your used to lame ass ****ty freakin ****ty norwegian programs, none of them are funny and they all have this educational purpose, really lame and sad ****, how to make good soup, sheeeez, then one day you switch around, and there is a new channel, a new american channel, and then this young norwegian boy sees the geniouses of SNL, he sees will farrell and adam sandler, and almost ****s him self of Chris farley.....aaah snl...

    Chris Farley was the bestes

    I'm wondering what would it be like to see instead of a justin/brittany dance-off, a SNL/MadTV Laugh-off.

I've got to admit, the original Mad Tv cast owned everybody. The new cast, although nowhere near as funny, still manages to make me laugh out loud which is more than the current SNL has been able to do. SNL hasn't been funny since the good 'ol days of Hartman, Sandler, Farley, Myers, Rock, Spade, etc.

I have always found Mad TV to be stupid, although SNL isn't as good as past years when at times there were the likes of Akroid, Sandler, Meyers, Carvey, etc. The generation with Katan and Ferrell was great too.

Mad TV makes me laugh once every 20 episodes. Stewart and the ****ing children characters with the voices do nothing but anger me. Its not funny and the skits last way too ****ing long. Plus its just a total ripoff of SNL anyways. CHeck this. When Mad TV started it was just sketch comedy and it was pretty good. Then they went had got hosts. Then they went and got musical guests...wait a minute...does that sound familiar??

Mad TV is not funny at all.. SNL is starting to suck more and more.. About the only thing that is actually funny on TV is chapelle show.

Mad TV just doesn't make me laugh. SNL is ok, it was much much better in the Farley era. But in my opinion, In Living Color was the funniest damn show ever.

Between Mad and SNL, I'd take SNL even though I've been completely unimpressed with both shows lately.

MadTV is just crap now. SNL has itsmoments(the best one being when Kirsten Dunst hosted) but it is way less funny then back in the old days.

Whoa...found this old thread and am wondering what people think since I haven't seen a new episode of either of these in a loooong time.

My last impression was that SNL was far better and MadTV stopped sucking as much as it once did.

Ali G in da house, followed by The Chappelle Show. Both shows OWN mad TV and SNL.

But between SNL and Mad Tv, I'd say SNL is better. Although personally I don't find either very funny anymore.

Chapelle Show was suspended. he had a nervous breakdown, apparently. I think Chapelle Show is overrated and extremely trendy. I HATE it the day after a new episode and all of these wigger losers are quoting off the gay one liners from the night before. I think the worst was 2 years ago on spring break right after the Rick James stories. Summary: its funny when he does it, not you

New SNL's are garbage. I see MadTV in the afternoons on comedy central and sometimes its very clever and amusing. Most of the time it is crap. The golden age SNL's are being rerun on E! at 12pm and 4pm and then again latenight. I saw one with Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin just the other day.. fantastic. I saw one of the skits that brought the movie Zoolander about just the other day also.. I nearly **** myself during that one

SNL was funny back with people like Phil Hartman, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, etc. It's no longer funny. Mad TV has its moments, but overall, I'd say Mat TV over SNL.

Was it? Last I heard, new episodes of Chappele's Show were coming next month or so. Apparently he had a mental block and couldn't come up with new material after they paid him a few million, hehe.
