    Cardio before breakfast

    What do you think of this idea? I have always been under the immpression that doing cardio before breakfast wil help you loose more fat. I have never tried it becuase I have never had a problem with my weight. In fact, Its kind of hard to keep it on for me. However, I was just told its the worst thing you can do. What are you all thoughts on this. Thanks in advance. Ok let me add a little something more to this. His argument is that your body is catabolic in the mornings and will eat your muscle before your stored fat. What do you all think of this.

    I've been performing cardio in this manner for quite a while....trying to elimintate that last bit of stubborn bodyfat.....opinions vary on EVERYTHING (from when you should drink your protein to what color underwear give you the most squat power) OK so I made that last part up.....Anyway I've read as long as you keep the cardio to 20 minutes or less you are fine.....and there are a million threads in here on "HIIT". It all comes down to when you want to do it and WHY you are doing it......cardio for the health benefit or for fat loss.....I like the early morning ,empty stomach approach.

    i now wait about 3 hours after eating a regular meal.


    initially my goal was maximum fat loss but i realized my long term goals would be compromised by the short term instant gratification. also, duration and intensity suffered.

    I would never do any type of exercise on a completely empty stomach (not having consumed food in the past 3 hours).

    at the minimum take some glut like Yates suggested or a scoop of whey/water for the BCAA's.
