1. ## math equation help :(

ok,

if someone earns 5\$ the first day and earns 5\$ more than that every day after that for a year, how much money does he have at the end of the year? What's the equation to solve this?
\$5+\$10+\$15+\$20+\$25+.. etc

2. (5+1825)*182=330060 LOL I hope im right this time because the last time I did a math problem here I was wrong. Maybe someone else should try this.

3. its an arthimatic (sp?) number sequence since the difference between each number is a constant, d = 5.

first we find out how much he earns the last day, with the formula ;

an = a1 + (n -1)*d

where n = 365

that gives you

a365 = 5 + (365-1)*5 = 1825

then you can find the total of his earnings with the formula ;

sn = n*(a1 + an )/2

sn being the total money earned.

s365 = 365*(5+1825)/2 = 333975

so this dude will have earned \$ 333,975 after a year.

4. Cool, thanks

5. Cent is correctumundo.
