But won't it help if I consume protein with it? I know GH is high during sleep but I was wondering if insulin is better than GH in terms of muscle growth during sleep. BTW i workout in the morning.

Insulin is a peptide hormone and will not aid sleep. In essence it's a protein.

Insulin is a carrier and helps fuel micro nutrients to depleted areas after a workout. It's also very dangerous as you can easily slip into a coma if too much is taken (injected). Im persuming that your only talking about creating a natural insulin spike. If that is that case then the only real way you can do this is by eating sugar (Blood sugar levels are raise, insulin is released to lower them) ... dextraose sucrose glucose etc ... and the only time which this is benefitial is post workout.

oh .... and yes it's a good idea to take in some protein .... a fast acting protein like Whey is a good idea.
