the person who wrote that must feel real tough, real bad ass that guy, wohoo that skinny nerd neo nazi piece a **** must have cummed at least 5 times when he listened to his so very hard ass bad black metal music anti everything because he couldnt get any passy high school bitterness anger when he wrote that.

Bob Hope did alot of good stuff and for that he earned respect.

but he IS the most overrated entertainer in the history of the world!

he was not funny, could not act, and would not have been near as popular if he died at say...70 years old vs. 100 years old.

Weather he was or was not a good actor or comedian is really besides the point. He was a good man with a good heart and there is really no need for a thread like this or a web page like that. It's in poor taste and it's hate full.

I totally respect you and your opinion, but he did do a great amount of charity and goodwill work that not many other celebs bothered or bother to do.

In Vietnam when Bob Hope was entertaining the military, they booed him. That's when the military started forcing you to at least pretend to enjoy the show. There was an article about this in the NY Times, I believe.

    The guy was a dope.

Boo him or not he came out to try to entertain them. It was a nice gesture. He doesn't deserve to be flamed. And I don't think his family would appreciate that page either it's just cold hearted and ignorant.

I didn't bother to read it. I am not a huge fan of him, but I don't think he was awful, fitted his time. But mainly he supported Americans.
SF-you would be against anyone for the US.

Berserker I think pretty much every good law abiding citizen is for usa, you must remember that different people have different views in how they think a nation should be , wanting the best for their nation, saying that all that disagree with one side are against usa is simplyfing the matter to an extreme.

so he deserves to be "honored" more so than other 'great americans' because he did some charity?

what about the millions of other people who do daily selfless good deeds and donations and charity work.

theyre probably funnier than bob hope was.

oh yeah, and he is STILL dead

I bet if you and me watched bob hope together, we could hold a dont laugh contest, and I bet we would eventually laugh, like with booze and stuff.

Bob Hope did so much for the entertainment industry, it wouldn't be what it is today without him. Be that good or bad in your opinion. Just because there is freedom speech does not mean all opinions need to be voiced. An opinion that may change something is a fine thing to bring forth, but one that only mocks and detracts from the character of an individual who cannot even defend themselves if need be isn't one of them.
