The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I saw my abs today for the first time in my life!!!!!!

What seemed to start out as a slow day in the gym turned out to be great. I made some gains on my chest(from 60 to 65 DB Press), went up some triceps, and got a great pump. Then to top it off I was in the locker room on the scale afterwards and I was flexing. I noticed a my stomach was looking more defined than ever so I flexed my abs and I FINALLY SAW THEM. I had a solid 4 pack going for about an hour till my pump went away. I had done 120 crunches right before so my abs felt really tight. I've looked more since then and I can't quite see them relaxed yet but they are certainly on their way. The funny part is this came outta no where. I actually thought I had been putting on a little to much body fat but I guess I was wrong. The only bad news is I lost 1.5 pounds since last week but I will sacrifice a pound for some abs.

My ab work seems to finally be paying off. Hopefully by next summer I'll be carved up.

I do abs 3 times per week

Day 1: 100-150 crunches on medicine ball

Day 2: 60 hanging leg lifts

    Day 3: Seated Lever crunches(http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/...hGripless.html)

Thats it. I've been told there is no need to do abs everyday. They are just like any other muscle and need time to rest.

    Thanks for the congrats

abs are more a function of bodyfat than training. You will have to combine a solid diet with that to see them.

Hehe, i know mine are there, but i also have never seen them, i am bulking from 154 to 170 ish, and am at 166 today, 8 weeks in. I am working ym abs hard though and like the rest of my body which i 'see' grow, i know that as soon as i cut they will be there and if my mates dont understand that all this time in the gym and i have no abs, screw them. they dont understand i cant bulk up and cut at the same time, they also think 300 crunches each morning and night will get them, not bodyfat. I keep it my little secret
