The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Pete Sampras retires

...Tennis will never been the same again....I never used to like Pete coz. he used to beat my favorite players(Goran and Courier) always. But gradually I've developed a liking for him and my last few years of watching tennis is only because of him. and ofcourse Goran...who can forget his Wimbledon victory...

Tennis will miss Pete. IMO he is greatest tennis player of all time

I consider myself very fortunate to live in this age......Too many sports greats.....Pete Sampras, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Michael Schumacher

Hats off to Pete....I wish him and his family all the best in life. I hope we see his son Christian turn into a legend as well....

Pete was great. I used to be a huge tennis fan, my favourite player of all time was Ivan Lendl, and then in the twilight of his career Sampras came out and just dominated.

I don't follow tennis much anymore, but Sampras definitely has to be considered one of the greatest ever to play. Glad to see he retired on a positive note.

I'm not much of a tennis fan anymore. I used to watch in the days of Lendl, Chang(early in his career), Connors, McEnroe, Becker, Navratalova and Graf. The few times I saw Sampras he was pretty impressive. At least he didn't hang around like Ricky Henderson and play too far past his prime.

I wouldn't even compare Pete to John....although he was a great player his behaviour was suspect and left a bad taste(after that umpire screaming incident)

Now we have to deal with another Sampras-wannabe, a kid named Andy Roddick.

ericg, he missed out the french open because the clay court didn't cater to his serve-volley method. The farthest he got in the french open was the semis.
