The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Emergency bill..

After a few hours spent at the emergency room due to a dog bite I ended up with $2000 bill.

My insurance has paid already all but $25 which is my copayment...

I mailed my check on 7/9/03 and it was cashed as I check my balance on line almost every day, but to my surprise today I have gotten another bill for the $25 copayment...

I didnt make a copy after my mailed check adn I was wondering how could I prove to them that my check was cashed already...

Any advice? I am gonna call them tomorow and ask why do they keep billing me after they cashed my check..

Your bank or theirs should be able to verify that the check was cashed.

its pretty common for a hospital to keep billing for the same damned thing. ive even been put into collections 3 times for the same charge that i paid while i was at the hospital, and every single time i have to call and argue that i paid it close to a year ago.

Dont they keep track of what has been cashed?

Or each billing dudess who come across my bill would send me a note as to pay the damn bill?

Yeah it's super annoying when that happens.

Have you checked to see if the collections were on your credit report. And if so, did you get them removed. Every time a collection agency goes after you, it's put on your report and it will take a big hit on your score/rating.

Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. This is how a stupid billing person can mess your credit score bu keep billing you and sending your name later on to a collection agency....

Is there any way to straighten up once and for all their blunder?

I had the same thing happen to me, when I got stiches on my finger, but I payed at the ER when I went back for my check up 2 days later. They problem was that the hospital has a billing service company from somewhere else that kept billing so I called them and they said they'll look into it, then a two week laters I got a final notice. I went down to the hospital and told them and they called the billing company and fixed it.

I'm not sure if you mean straighten it up with the billing person, or the credit bureau.

If you mean witht the billing person, you're screwed until they get their act together.

With the bureau, you have to write your nearest bureau a letter and they'll look into it and have it removed from your record. It can take up to 6 months though, I believe. It's a been a little while since I was involved with obtaining credit reports as a part of one of my jobs. So the details are a little fuzzy.

what really irritates me is that, at least in this area, you have to go to school to become a medical biller. so they spent however many years at a specialized school to learn how to bill people, and then they dont even know how to bill them. stupid fat chicks.

It is a 12 week course at the most....

The bad news is that an idiotic fat-ass-chick, AKA as "bill specialist"--bill screw up specialist to be more correct-- can mess up your credit if she were to send your name to a collection agency..

    Wouldnt you be pissed?

If they dont clear my bill over the phone I am gonna go in person to their place and get up close and personal with the featherbrain who screwed me up....

    Wish me good luck!
