The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    power clean

Okay guys and gals I have a goal of power cleaning 225. I just want to know how many people have done this. I'm 200lbs 5'9", and it seems like this is going to be a hard goal to reach. I got 4 sets of 4 at 150 today...but 225 seems way off. Anyone have any tips? I should also mention that I want to go into a over head press to finish the movement.

don't do an overhead press, do a jerk. the difference (if we're using the same terms) is that in the OH press, you use shoulders... in the jerk, you hardly use them (especially split jerk)

and in order to move more weight, you need to perfect your technique. i'm going for a similar goal and am also currently doing 150. 'tis not easy to increase

I'm doing 205, I weigh 165 pounds and I'm 5'7". Just keep doing em, perfect your form, and work out your shoulders, traps, legs, and back since the power clean uses all of them.
I am cool beyond all natural explanation.

All the muscles you use during a deadlift will help. I hit 250x5 back when I began doing them after a few year layoff, and was working with 225 the other day which felt very easy until I had a pretty bad freak mishap and jacked my ankle badly.

In Memphis, it is illegal for a woman to drive by herself, unless a man is walking or running infront of the vehicle, waving a red flag in order to warn approaching pedestrians and motorists.
