Do many make compositions under the same name?
many pieces come up from a search from like 4 different composers.
It's usually that people online are clueless.
You wouldn't believe how many people hear a piece and immediately go "Oh, that's Mozart." or "Oh, that's Beethoven." They're wrong 75% of the time.

Depends on the piece. If its the Moonlight Sonata or Eine Kleine Nacht Musik, then it's pretty obvious. However, if it's something like 5th symphony, or Piano Concerto #5, it's anybody's guess.
There was a thread asking for the name of fur elise on here today and i thought beethoven but to check i did a search, and found fur elises by mozart, beethoven and vivaldi
people just weren't creative with song titles back in the day. lots of homies had # symphonies, requiems, etc.

Fur Elise is Beethoven.
I can ALMOST see confusing it with Mozart. But Vivaldi? Not a chance.
