You can do the diet you described and the WBB1 routine and you shouldn't run into any problems. I am doing a 2300 calorie diet and WBB1 and I have made pretty decent gains. Like you, I am new to weight training - I started in mid-July.

Anyway, definitely integrate some cardio into your week. I do cardio on a bike 3-4 times per week and it has made a difference. I am assuming that because I was (and am) so new to weight training that I still lost fat but gained significant muscle mass while doing the heavy cardio combined with WBB1. I've reduced the cardio sessions down in intensity and frequency this past week however since I don't want to lose any of my "new" muscles. I've also increased the intensity of my workouts.
I'm doing the WBB1 routine on a cutting cycle aswell.
On a 2200 diet btw.
