Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Low Back Pain During a Squat

Dammit... well I was doing squats, and at the bottom of a rep, I got a shooting pain in my lower back. Felt like intense DOMS like you might have after lifting for your first time ever. Today it feels like REALLY bad soreness down there. Any idea what I might have done? Im able to move its just sore as hell... Thanks.

Pulled something or pinched the nerve. If it lasts more than few days go to the Dr.

Follow up for y'all. This happened Tuesday night. Im still sore today (Friday), its getting a little better every day but slowly, thought it might be gone by now! Anyway, sleeping position is comfortable, sitting is not, and the worst of the pain is going from a seated position to standing... all of that sound normal? Should I be worried yet? Thanks

Sounds like a bad muscle strain. It may or may not be doctor-worthy, that's for you to decide. I would give it another day or so and if there's still no improvement, go to the doctor. Don't squat or DL until you're sure you're OK.

I did that and thought it was a muscle strain. Too bad it was spinal compression and now since I went to a doctor instead of a chiropractor I have a degenerated disc. Go to a chiropractor. Getting your back straightened every so often is a good idea anyhow.
