I have found this to be odd ever since I started doing Cleans my sophmore year in high school. I can hang clean more than I power clean. Isn't this backward? Everyone else on my team can power clean much more. Its not that my power clean is bad its around 320 but i can get up about 10-15 pounds more on hang cleans. What could be the reason?

You're probably not generating enough force/momentum from the first pull off the floor. Using your lower body in the power clean should give you the ability to accelerate a lot more weight than using mostly upper body in the hang clean.
Have you ever done deadlifts? I think they would help you get a sense of how to utilize your posterior chain power.
