The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Well; you'd probably weigh somewhere around 160 or so. I say that because if you're able to get down to 8% BF you're gonna put on some muscle weight too. You don't just drop the fat by working out.

Anywhere from 16 20 pounds you need to lose.
Plus you'll lose some muscle, water and maybe glycogen depending on the diet you use.

"Test all things; hold fast what is good.": 1 Thessalonians 5:21

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Littleman, here is what I calculate:

    180@ 18% bodyfat = 180 x .18 = 32.4lbs of fat.
    32.4 / 18 = 1.8 lbs per 1% of bodyfat
    1.8lbs x 8 = 14.4lbs of fat at 8%
    180lbs - 32.4lbs of fat = 147.6lbs at 0% bodyfat
    147.6lbs + 14.4lbs fat = 162lbs at 8% bodyfat...

    about 162lbs

Actually, I found an error -

    147.6lbs = 0% bodyfat so
147.6 is equal to 92% of the new weight at 8%
    147.6 / 92% = 160lbs

    160lbs at 8%
    157lbs at 6%

why don't you continue to bulk but with reasonable calculation so you won't add too much extra fat and water? I think you should try to gain first (just a little) then go down to around 170 lbs and see where you stand. You aren't bad off compared to all the guys I've seen at my gym. You just had the guts to show others online.

bro - it's what Im doing. I want to bulk up to 190lbs now that the soar to 180 has been so easy. But I already have a rather large waist for my height as you can tell. I don't like wearing normal shirts because they make me look fat. If I were semi tight shirts it shows my v back, my chest , arms etc. But I don't like wearing those shirts if I have a protruding gut. It's flat at the momment, meaning it does not stick out. But it's already borderline unwanted. But I will bulk up nevertheless.
